Making A Purchase

Making a purchase is easy; just browse our store, add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit and debit card payments (Visa and MasterCard).

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping basket, contact us and we will try correct the mistake if the order hasn't already been processed.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Delivery Schedule

We will normally send your order to you within 2 business days, orders placed before 11am normally ship that afternoon and arrive the next working day. Orders being shipped outside of the UK mainland are generally received in under 3-4 days.

You must inform us within 7 working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK 20.0% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free, but you must enter a valid EU VAT exemption number.

Credit Card Security

To ensure the highest level of card security we use a 3rd party to take card payments on our behalf. When an order goes through the checkout customers will be prompted by Mastercard Securecode or Verified by Visa to enter their security password. This is a necessary step in the checkout process and helps to protect against unauthorised use of your card and it should only take a few seconds to complete the transaction.

Return & Refund Policy

Returns
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase simply return the item to us within 14 days of receipt.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and as new.
Your item must be in the original packaging.
Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.

You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Refunds
Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will then notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.
If your item is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment).
The amount refunded will not include the cost of the original carriage and it will be subject to a 10% restocking fee.
Delivery charges and a full refund (with no restocking fee) will only be payable where it is proven that goods are faulty and replacement is not a suitable solution.

Refunds are not available on any bespoke product made to your particular requirements. Examples of these items include non-stock thermocouples, ovens & furnaces with added accessories or items calibrated to your particular requirements. If you are unsure whether your proposed purchase will qualify for a refund please ring us on 01433 620535 prior to ordering.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
